I thought I had finally made it.
3,000 square foot home.
Spiral staircase.
Affluent neighbourhood.
Ravine lot.
But inside that "dream home", everything in my life started falling apart.
My relationship became strained.
My children weren't as happy.
Clients stopped calling.
Sleep became difficult.
Then a colleague randomly handed me a Feng Shui book. My first thought? "This sounds like a crock."
But when I discovered that IKEA, British Airways, TD Bank, luxury hotels, and globally successful entrepreneurs were quietly using these principles... I got curious.
So I tried it.
What happened next changed the direction of my entire life and career.
My home had severe energetic imbalances affecting flow, opportunity, and emotional harmony.
Once I corrected them, relationships improved, opportunities returned, clients came back.
That sent me on a journey:
→ Master's Degree in Malaysia → Founded Canadian School of Feng Shui → 4,000+ students trained →
Trusted by luxury homes, corporations, developers & top real estate professionals across Canada
I'm Sharon Hay, and after some time away, I'm back.
If you've worked with me before, I'd love to reconnect.
If you're new here, welcome. I think you'll find this space a little different.
Which took me to Malaysia for a Master's Degree in Feng Shui, one of the most rigorous, comprehensive programs in the world, and would ultimately lead me to found the Canadian Schools of Feng Shui, where more than 4,000 students have trained across Canada. My proprietary "East meets West" Feng Shui style of courses were made easy and fun for today's architectural designs and North American lifestyles. For seven years I was a RECO-approved Education Provider in Ontario, teaching "Feng Shui for Real Estate" to working real estate professionals. For over 20 years I've been training new Feng Shui Practitioners with my 5-day comprehensive programme.
I have appeared as a regular guest on the nationally broadcast decorating programme Stephen and Chris, the reality series Love Inc., CHCH Radio, and Cogeco Television. I am also the author of multiple Feng Shui books and wrote articles for the Toronto Star and Financial Post newspapers.
I also bring over 30 years of experience in home renovation, which means I understand construction, materials, costs, and what it actually takes to transform a space in the real world, not just in theory.
That brings us to today...
Ten years ago, a severe car accident took everything I had built including, for a time, my ability to walk without a cane, remembering what was behind each door in my home and the ability to speak more than 3 words at a time. I spent years in recovery. Somewhere in that stillness, I kept returning to the principles I teach.
Feng Shui is about removing what blocks flow, physically and mentally. Restoring balance where something has broken down. Creating the conditions for life to move again. I had to apply every one of those principles to myself. Successfully, I'm back now, stronger than ever and feeling amazing.
And, I have never been more certain of this work.
There is one more thing I have always found meaningful.
HAY, my family name, happens to mean 'breath of life' in Cantonese.
I have always felt that was less a coincidence and more of a calling.
It is what Feng Shui restores to a space that has lost its way. And it is what I bring into every room I live and work in.
